Housing Information

Just nine miles from Phoenix International Airport, the AAA four-diamond Hotel Valley Ho is the youngest property in the Historic Hotels of America collection. Hotel Valley Ho was cool back in 1956 when it first opened its doors, before Downtown Scottsdale was downtown. It's every bit as chic now, after an expansive but meticulously groomed $80 million renovation completed in 2005.  The hotel is classic in mid-century design and lighthearted ambiance. Originally a Hollywood hideaway (teen idols Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood had their 1957 wedding reception in the hotel ballroom), this Downtown Scottsdale urban resort once again features rooms with all-glass walls opening onto airy patios. The award-winning landmark offers posh, playful rooms and suites, fabulous food, a pool listed on Travel + Leisure’s World’s Coolest Pools, and the VH Spa for Vitality + Health. Hotel Valley Ho is centrally located in Downtown Scottsdale, just a short walk from shops, restaurants, and Old Town's renowned art galleries.

Reservations

A block of rooms and preferred rates will be available through March 21, 2012 at https://resweb.passkey.com/go/vendorsummit12.  Hospitality Upgrade is offering a pre-conference rate of $169 for the night of 4/10. For the nights of 4/11 and 4/12, attendees will be charged the complete meeting package (CMP*) rate of $399/per night plus applicable taxes, which includes signature guestroom ac­commodations, all private meal functions (two cocktail receptions, two dinners, two breakfasts, and one lunch), breaks and drinks. *There is no registration fee to attend the Summit, but we do ask that attendees share in the cost of meals and drinks through a complete meeting package (CMP) room rate; local attendees not staying at the Hotel Valley Ho will be charged a day guest rate (see “Day Guests”).

Rooms can only be reserved through Hospitality Upgrade with a credit card guarantee. Visit https://resweb.passkey.com/go/vendorsummit12 to reserve your room. Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. After March 21, reservations will be accepted on an as-available basis only, and rates may vary from the group rate.

Cancellations

Cancellations for room reservations received before March 27, 2012 will be without penalty. Cancellations received after March 27, 2012 will incur a penalty of 50 percent. Please note – you must notify Siegel Communications in writing of a cancellation before the first day of the conference (April 11) or we will be obliged to charge the full fee. Day Guests

Local attendees not staying at the Hotel Valley Ho will be charged a day guest rate of $250/per day or $500 for the entire conference. This fee includes all private meal functions (two cocktail receptions, two dinners, two breakfasts, and one lunch), breaks and drinks.

Planning Your Trip

If you are playing in the Golf Tournament, please plan to arrive at the hotel no later than 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11 to take advantage of our complimentary shuttle to the tournament. If you are not playing in the tournament, please arrive at the hotel no later than 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11. We have a very special activity planned for all attendees during the Welcome Cocktail Reception. You won’t want to miss it.

At the conclusion of the conference on Friday, April 13, Hospitality Upgrade will provide a complimentary shuttle back to Phoenix International Airport (PHX) at 11:15 a.m. PHX is located approximately 9 miles/15 minutes from the Hotel Valley Ho. Please plan your flights accordingly.

American Airlines Discount

American Airlines is offering Summit attendees 5 percent off all published fares for travel to/from Phoenix International Airport (PHX) between the dates of April 7-16, 2012. Ground Transportation

Phoenix International airport (PHX) is 9 miles/15 minutes from the Hotel Valley Ho.

Taxis. Taxicab service from PHX is approximately $25 one way.

Super Shuttle. Super Shuttle is $17 per person one-way. It operates 24 hours a day, but from 9am-11pm you can simply walk outside the airport terminal and a dispatcher will put you on the next van. You can also arrange your van in advance by calling 602.244.9000.

Parking. Complimentary self parking is available in select onsite areas and in the immediate surrounding area of the hotel. Overnight, underground, secured valet parking is available to all guests for $14 per night, per standard vehicle, plus applicable taxes (currently 14.92%). 

     **Please note Hospitality Upgrade will be providing a complimentary shuttle to Phoenix International Airport (PHX) at the conclusion of the conference at 11:15 a.m. on April 13.

Weather/Dress

Average April weather in Scottsdale is a high of 81 degrees and a low of 54 degrees. Dress for the conference, including the Gala dinner, is business casual. Dress for the Welcome Cocktail Reception and Barbecue is casual. Please note evening events will be held outdoors, weather permitting.
